SalamanderSoft are looking for Support Consultants to join our growing Support Team as part of our 2026 Cohort. This is a hands-on, customer-facing technical role, supporting schools and education institutions across the UK and beyond.

SalamanderSoft are looking for Support Consultants to join our growing Support Team as part of our 2026 Cohort. This is a hands-on, customer-facing technical role, supporting schools and education institutions across the UK and beyond.

You’ll work closely with customers to configure and support our integration solutions, ensuring a smooth and professional experience. The role is remote, but occasional travel may be required for team meetups or customer support.

Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about technology, confident working independently, and keen to learn. You’ll be comfortable engaging with customers, solving problems, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

 You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality support, including:

  • Diagnosing and resolving configuration issues
  • Implementing change requests and advising on solutions
  • Managing support cases via our service desk
  • Maintaining accurate customer records
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to team best practice
  • Occasionally assisting other areas of the Operations Team

Requirements:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a proactive attitude and a desire to learn
  • Enjoys working with customers and solving problems
  • Can work independently and manage their time effectively
  • Has an interest in technology and education

Experience with the following is helpful (but not essential – we’ll provide training):

  • XML and XPath
  • Active Directory
  • Microsoft 365 (including Entra ID and Teams)
  • Google Workspace (including Classroom)
  • School MIS systems (e.g. Arbor, Bromcom, SIMS, iSAMS)
  • PowerShell

You’ll need a suitable home working setup, a broadband connection, and ideally a kettle.

  • £25,500 – £27,500 salary, dependent on experience
