A few words from Jon Atkinson, our new Managing Director
Since our founding in 2007, we’ve worked hard to provide great service and solutions to our customers to help them with their integration needs. The past few years in particular have seen a significant growth in terms of the technologies we work with, the number of institutions we are able to help and also our team, which has more than tripled in the past 2 years alone.
As we’ve looked forward to the future both of Education as a whole, and the role we play in supporting that, we have been thinking about what we do, and how we work and how we are structured.
To support our plans for the future, I’m delighted to say that I’ve been appointed as Managing Director as of 1st October 2020.
Although I'm thinking about the best way to move the business forward, the core of what we do won’t change. We started supporting individual schools in the UK with their integration needs and I don’t want this to change. A large portion of our team have worked in Schools in previous roles and understand the pressures on the IT and Senior Leadership teams, and so we want to continue to do what we can to support them. We are looking instead at how we can improve the services we deliver to those schools, along with continuing to work with the growing number of Multi-Academy Trusts and larger organisations we support.
To this end, one of my first priorities is to appoint a new Head of Operations, the role I used to have, to lead and support the Operational team going forward. This role will sit alongside Josh Twigg, our Head of Development.
I’m also actively recruiting Support Consultants to join the operations team to support our continued growth and ensure we can provide the best service we can, without pushing our team too hard through what is a tough time for everyone.
I must admit that the timing feels quite strange given the year that 2020 has become, but we've been thinking about the future direction for a while and it’s actually a good time to make this change. It’s clear that the disruption to Education is going to be a long-term fixture and we need to be able to support our customers throughout not just the next few months but also moving forward into the future as they adapt. The way businesses work is changing too and how we support our team needs to reflect that.
Finally, a big thank you to all our customers for believing in us through the years and also to our team who have shown their commitment and passion not just this year, but time and time again through the years. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them!
If anyone reading this would like to know more about us, or what we are looking at in the future, please do feel free to reach out to me.
