Microsoft 365 is a popular tool for many of our customers, so we wanted to create a regular roundup of the most useful new updates for teachers and educators.

What’s new in Microsoft 365 for Education?

New Class Teams homepages.

Teachers can now create a central location for their classes’ latest announcements, key resources, upcoming assignments and more.

The best thing is that they’re automatically set up, so if you already have your Class Teams synced with your MIS Data, you can create instant homepages for each class and students can access all their learning resources in one place.

Timed quizzes in Microsoft Teams Assignments.

Quizzes are a great way to engage your students in their learning and a great opportunity for you to get a quick overview of their understanding of the topic.

Microsoft Forms allows you to create interactive quizzes in a matter of minutes.

The latest update allows you to set up a timed quiz in Teams Assignments, which gives your class a set amount of time to complete the quiz. This would be great for getting them to practice under exam conditions.

Reflect is a featured tab in all Staff Teams.

Reflect is a great tool that allows users to do a bit of self-reflection on their work.

We think it’s brilliant that Microsoft has now made this a featured tab in all Class Teams and not just for students.

For both staff and students, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on your progress.

Parent Connection for Teams mobile.

Microsoft’s Parent Connection app allows teachers to directly message parents if their contact details are in the school’s MIS data.

The app is now available in Teams mobile, which gives teachers greater flexibility when communicating with parents and guardians.
