Gavan joined SalamanderSoft in January 2021 as Head of Operations, directly managing the Installations, Projects and Support teams that deliver our company's products and services. Having spent almost 20 years at various levels supporting IT within the education sector and over 10 years volunteering for and managing the Duke of Edinburgh Award in various Schools, Gavan brings a broad range of experience to the role. Gavan enjoys spending time with his family, reading and cooking.
Josh joined SalamanderSoft in April 2018 as a senior developer. Having had previous experience developing mission-critical software for the emergency services, his focus is on producing high-quality software that can be relied on. He now heads the development of the suite of software that SalamanderSoft produces, influencing his team to focus on producing great solutions to difficult problems.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys exploring all things fermentation.
Kris joined SalamanderSoft in May 2015 after previously being an ICT Technician at a High School for 8 years. Kris is now employed as Head Of Product, after starting out in the company as a Support Consultant and then moving on to Projects Coordinator. Kris has worked on various Salamander solutions from single schools, multi-academy trusts, local authorities and government-level projects.
Outside of work Kris runs an under 8’s football team and loves retro gaming.
James started at Salamander in April 2022 having spent 14 years in schools in the South West, working in Leadership, IT and Teaching roles. James is our Head of Operations, leading the Operations team responsible for implementing and supporting Salamander's products and services.
James enjoys playing football, chess and side projects of programming in his spare time.
Charlie joined SalamanderSoft in 2019, previously working in the non-profit sector. Charlie is the first point of contact for accounts and renewals enquiries for our customer base, and is our People & Culture link with TLG. In her spare time, Charlie enjoys living on coffee, with a previous life as a café owner!
Becky joined SalamanderSoft in April 2024 as our Assistant Head of Operations. She brings over 15 years of experience in the education sector, having worked with a school website provider in various support, delivery, and leadership roles. Becky is a valuable asset to our operations team, supporting our Head of Operations, and the Operations team. In her spare time, Becky enjoys reading, dog walking, and taking scenic drives in the Scottish Highlands.
My name is Alan Treloar and I have been a part of the Salamander team since February 2017. After spending 6 years as the Installations Coordinator where I focussed on ensuring new single build customers were onboarded successfully, I took up the exciting challenge of being the first Technical Training and Knowledge Coordinator for Salamander on the 9th April 2025. Prior to joining Salamander, my last role in a school setting was as an IT Operations Manager for a multi academy trust having fulfilled various other IT roles in schools prior to this. I also spent over 20 years working in Solutions Delivery in the Civil Service as well as a couple of years working for RFU as a Community Rugby Coach. In my spare time, I enjoy watching and (just about...still) playing rugby as well as cycling and spending quality time with my family.
Peter has been part of the SalamanderSoft team since December 2018 after previously working as an ICT Technician at a High School for 11 years. Peter is now employed as the Installations and Projects Coordinator dealing with implementing the integration suite to multi-academy trusts and larger education organisations.
When not working Peter enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and bowling.
Claire joined SalamanderSoft in September 2025 as Delivery Manager, coordinating SalamanderSoft's largest Government contract. Having worked in the edtech sector for over 20 years, Claire strives to deliver solutions that help schools to focus on what really matters. In her spare time, she is the chair of her local running and triathlon club and travels way too far every Saturday to complete a parkrun 5km.
