Key team members
Jon Atkinson
Managing DirectorJon joined SalamanderSoft in November 2013 and heads the teams that build, deliver and supports the company's products and strives to ensure the highest customer satisfaction in everything that the company does. Having spent almost 15 years supporting the needs of Schools and other academic establishments, Jon brings a broad range of technical experience and passion to the role.
Outside of work, Jon volunteers with the Scout Association.
Josh Twigg
Head of DevelopmentJosh joined SalamanderSoft in April 2018 as a senior developer. Having had previous experience developing mission-critical software for the emergency services, his focus is on producing high-quality software that can be relied on. He now heads the development of the suite of software that SalamanderSoft produces, influencing his team to focus on producing great solutions to difficult problems.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys exploring all things fermentation.
Gavan Vettese-Wilson
Head of OperationsGavan joined SalamanderSoft in January 2021 as Head of Operations, directly managing the Installations, Projects and Support teams that deliver our company's products and services. Having spent almost 20 years at various levels supporting IT within the education sector and over 10 years volunteering for and managing the Duke of Edinburgh Award in various Schools, Gavan brings a broad range of experience to the role. Gavan enjoys spending time with his family, reading and cooking.
Kris Clark
Head of ProductKris joined SalamanderSoft in May 2015 after previously being an ICT Technician at a High School for 8 years. Kris is now employed as Head Of Product, after starting out in the company as a Support Consultant and then moving on to Projects Coordinator. Kris has worked on various Salamander solutions from single schools, multi-academy trusts, local authorities and government-level projects.
Outside of work Kris runs an under 8’s football team and loves retro gaming.
Alan Treloar
Install CoordinatorMy name is Alan Treloar, I have been part of the Salamander team since February 2017 and I am the Installations Coordinator. I’ve previously worked in Solutions Delivery for 20 years in the Civil Service, as a Community Rugby Coach for the RFU and in schools in various IT positions, lately as the IT Operations Manager at a multi-academy trust. I enjoy watching and playing Rugby and spending quality time with my family.
Peter Darbyshire
Projects CoordinatorPeter has been part of the SalamanderSoft team since December 2018 after previously working as an ICT Technician at a High School for 11 years. Peter is now employed as the Projects Coordinator dealing with implementing the integration suite to multi-academy trusts and larger education organisations.
When not working Peter enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and bowling.
James Webber
Support CoordinatorJames started at Salamander in April 2022 having spent 14 years in schools in the South West, working in Leadership, IT and Teaching roles. James is our Support Coordinator, working with our superb customer base to ensure questions, configuration changes and incidents are dealt with by our expert Support Consultants.
James enjoys playing football, chess and side projects of programming in his spare time.
